CHARLOTTE SVENSON is a New Orleans native and a New York City-based COSTUME DESIGNER with over a decade of expertise spanning theater, film, and television.

Her recent credits include HBO’s Pretty Little Liars: Summer School, Hulu’s Tell Me Lies Seasons 1 + 2, and NBC’s Ordinary Joe. In 2020, she earned an Emmy as the Assistant Costume Designer for Russian Doll, following her 2015 NYWIFT and Variety’s Designing Women Award for her acclaimed work on Orange is the New Black.

Charlotte’s approach to costume design is deeply rooted in her ability to intuitively understand character psychology. With a profound emotional intelligence, she immerses herself in a script, translating the inner lives of characters into visual narratives through clothing. From concept to final execution, she thrives on the collaborative process, ensuring each design enriches the character’s connection to their world, and tells the stories that often go unspoken.

While her primary focus lies in contemporary design, Charlotte’s versatility extends to period pieces, where she embraces new challenges with creativity and precision.
